Ten brave people from Dubbo raced at the Orange InterClub on Sunday 23rd October backing up from also competing in testing conditions at the inaugural EMS Tri for Charity team triathlon on Saturday 22nd October.
There was a huge roll up from host club Orange Piranhas for the first race of the 2014/15 Central West InterClub series. Orange totally dominated results with at least 200 competitors, including juniors, out of the 280 or so in total competing.
Murray Robertson representing Dubbo again had a superb swim finishing second after finishing first the day before in Dubbo. Robertson was fourth overall in one hour, one minute eleven seconds
Mick Ticehurst, a bike specialist blitzed the one thousand pot holes for a gutsy fifth overall thirteen seconds behind Robertson.
Evan Goodstat was in the mix on the bike in very competitive race to finish twelfth overall two minutes eighteen seconds behind Ticehurst.
Dave Gerrish chimed in a further seven minutes back having a strong bike leg.
Ultramarathoner, Cameron Coggan, more used to twelve hour races finished eleven minutes behind Goodstat and two minutes in front of Heath Webb.
Heather Ticehurst backed up from yesterday to come fourth in her age group ahead of cyclist Andrew Lavelle and Ruby Kwong who was second in her age group and Rob Wilton.
Provisional points for InterClub after Round one are:
Orange 385, Mudgee 102, Bathurst 71, Dubbo 53 and Cowra 27.

All ten Dubbo competitors now become eligible for our Dubbo Triathlon Club championship trophies at the end of the season as a requisite under our 2014/15 point scoring system where all members must travel away from Dubbo and compete in at least one InterClub event this season.
